Websites
Once people began to congregate in towns, villages and cities the first mass communication tool was signs. Since most folks were illiterate, signs relied on images. The invention of moveable type created the printing industry, which prompted a dramatic increase in literacy, which fed a need for reading material. Next came newspapers, broadsides, magazines, radio, movies, TV and now…the Internet.
While you can still be illiterate and appreciate radio, movies and TV, the Internet is currently - and will be for quite some time in the future - a word based medium. This is worth noting since the Internet is the most pervasive - and some would say invasive - communications medium today.
And the secret to making this medium work for you is… words. Choosing the right words is key not just to delivering your message and persuading the website visitor of your value, but to positioning your website so that it can be found quickly in searches.
Yes graphics can't be ignored, but with the exception of file names, graphics don't contribute as much to search-ability as does the quality, quantity and specific content of the words. What this means is that your website must be created by a team comprised of a writer, graphic designer and web programmer. To keep this circus under control you need a ringmaster whose ultimate goal is to create a website that reflects, supports and executes your marketing goals, whether that be to extend your brand message or merely to sell stuff.

I got some great feedback from one of my strongest distributors yesterday. He thinks the site is the "best tile manufacturer in the industry". Wow!

The website you built for McIntyre Tile is truly one of the easiest websites to use and navigate and is an incredible resource for our company. The extensive interactive product listings, downloadable brochures and access to information is of great value and allows us to sell their product with much greater efficiency. Thanks for building a site with the end user in mind. We appreciate it.
